The Mills Family
We have two Welshies, Ollie(4) and Milo(18mths).

Our thanks go to Alison and Martin Auld-Parish who introduced us to the breeder, if not for them we would not be a part of a wonderful Welsh Springer Spaniel family.

One of our favourite times of the Welshie calendar is the yearly gathering of most of the breeders dogs affectionately called Welshie Day. A day of eating drinking and having fun in the heart of the Barossa Valley, somewhere to let the dogs run free and safe. Helen has virtually grown up with these dogs. Every time a new batch of puppies came along she would ask to go and see them and play in the pen with them.

Welshies too like to get involved with all sorts of activities, even swimming in the pool. Ollie is first in then Milo follows, once around the pool then they want to get out. As soon as they get out of the pool, they want to get back in again, and so it goes on.

Another thing that we enjoy doing with Ollie and Milo is showing our dogs. Both have been around the ring at theroyal show. A lot of training and decipline goes into showing our dogs. We have been to show training to learn how to show off our dogs to the best of our ability and with the help of our breeder we know how to groom them properly. Most of the shows that we have been to are a very relaxed affair and we meet many different people and handlers there. The picture to the left shows Helen with Ollie in the show ring at Murray Bridge.

.. They love the water, even down at the beach. Milo was a bit frightened of the waves at first but wanted so much to be out there with Ollie that he just went for it. Helen has so much fun with them.
