We hope the information and 'feel' of these pages, will give you pleaure, as well as an appreciation for our wonderful breed .

The Club was set up specifically as a Social Club for anyone with an interest in Welsh Springer Spaniels.
There is a wealth of experience and expertise with the breed among our members, many of whom take part in official competitions in various canine fields; but for the majority of our people, their Welshie is above all a family member.

Many a club members first introduction to the breed, was via Beth and Trevor Marschall's beloved "Taffy" (Australian Champion Penbryn Bonaparte C.D.X., T.D., E.T.) who in his own way was the real inspiration and founder of this club.
Sadly, 'Taffy senior' has now gone to the Rainbow Bridge, but his influence as the founding sire of the Laugharne kennel lines, is very evident in our ranks.

Welshies are 'at home' in any environment, preferably wherever their owners or anything vaguely approximating to edible can be found ... as you can see here, our members have tested this theory out under many different sets of variables and conditions, and the dogs always seem to come up trumps ...
